This site is partially funded by a grant from the Catskill Watershed Corporation and constructed by Sullivan County BOCES, School Library System. The purpose of the site is to educate students and their teachers about the history of the building of the New York City reservoir system and the continued expansion of that system. In addition, the site also serves as an e-library for those interested in furthering themselves in the many field's that serve to enhance and protect the earth's fragile environment. Further, there are links to sites provided that lead to information about best management practices (BMPs), and programs with information regarding soil, water, forest and going green. Finally, there is also a searchable audio and video selection, covering all the subjects mentioned, which includes, but is not limited to, interviews with those responsible for formulating the New York City Watershed Agreement.
